Book Chapter: Successful ageing
Successful aging is one the most pervasive areas of research in gerontology. In this chapter the origins and development of the field of successful aging are explored. An extensive critique of the original Rowe & Kahn model is conducted (by Rowe himself) and future directions for the field are discussed.
