Commonly Reported Health Problems
Staff and students were available to discuss their recent work on ‘Commonly Reported Health Problems’ in the NSHD. The poster presented on this topic highlighted the overall aims of ongoing work within the unit on symptoms which are commonly reported in later life including sleep problems, pain, fatigue, falls and incontinence; one key aim is to identify modifiable factors which minimise the impact of these symptoms on quality of life, participation and capability. Further details of ongoing research on sleep problems, chronic pain and fatigue, which were comprehensively assessed at age 68, were also provided.
