Chair rises written instructions
Time to complete: Approx. 5 minutes
Frequency: Once a month
Please wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear during this test
- Sit on a straight back chair (e.g., a dining room table chair. Not a sofa or chair on wheels). For additional stability, you may wish to place the rear legs of the chair against a wall so that it cannot slide backwards.
- Press button A (activity button A is located at the top right-hand side of the watch)
- Using the touch screen tap on ‘Cardio’
- “Ready” will appear on the watch face
- Press button A to start the activity timer
- Go! With your arms crossed on your chest, stand up and then sit down as quickly as you can 10 times
- When you sit back down for the tenth time, Stop!
- Check the clock timer on the watch face and sit still for a 1-minute recovery period
- Press button A to stop the activity timer
- Save the activity by tapping the green tick on the watch touchscreen
- Please log your most recent test in the Radar App section ‘Chair Rises Test’
- Congratulations! You have completed your Chair Rises test
Six minute walk test instructions
Time to complete: Approx. 10 minutes
Frequency: Once a month. If this changes, we will let you know.
Please wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear for walking during this test
- Arrive at your walk starting position
- Press button A (located at the top right-hand side of the watch)
- Using the watch touchscreen Tap ‘Walk’
- ‘Wait for GPS’ will appear on the watch face
- Press button A to start the activity timer
- Go! Walk as far as you can for 6 minutes
- When the clock timer reads 6:00, Stop!
- Stand still (or sit down if required) for a 1-minute recovery period
- When the clock timer reads 7:00, press button A to stop the activity timer
- Save the activity by pressing the green tick on the watch face touchscreen (C)
- Please log your most recent test in the Radar App section ‘Six Minute Walk Test – Tell us about your recent test’
- Congratulations! You have completed your 6 Minute Walk Test
